Did someone say “Wine gifts?”
It’s halfway through Chanukah, 16 days to Christmas and time to think about gifts. I am surprised every year! So if you are a last minute shopper like me, I hope this review of wine gifts – from the ridiculous to the righteous – is helpful, or at the very least as entertaining for you to read as it was for me to create.
Let’s start with the Ridiculous.
This was a real toss-up between the Hands Free Wine Holder and the Wine Bra. No one should wear their wine. Ever. Whether it is hanging from their neck (totally undignified) or taking you from an A-cup to a C-cup, who wants their wine at 98.60?
The Requisite. A Waiter’s Corkscrew, also known as a Sommelier’s Corkscrew, is a necessary tool for any wine drinker. Simple and efficient, there are no batteries to go dead and you don’t need a manual to operate it.
The Romantic. Here are two ideas, one big, one small, both guaranteed to win hearts. Plan a trip to a picturesque wine region, whether it is Napa or Burgundy and slip the itinerary, with photos, into a stocking. For a more affordable heart-winning gift, try a personally engraved bottle of wine like this one from etching expressions. www.etchingexpressions.com
The Recycled. There has to be at least one DIY gift on this list. Why not try one of these?
I would be remiss if I did not include VinoVinti on the list. Our unique wine accessory improves the flavor, feel and finish of wine, bottle after bottle. Now offered at $29.95 it fits most budgets and is sure to please. Beautifully packaged there is no need to wrap-just slip it in a stocking.
Happy Shopping and Happy Sipping. Cheers!
