It occurred to me over the weekend that it really *is* time to start thinking about the holidays, and more importantly, what kind of gifts I plan to give this year. As of today, there are only (GASP!) 72 days left until Christmas!
When I was younger this wouldn’t have been a big deal, but now that I’m older, a little wiser (maybe), and perhaps more importantly ~ in the habit of making gifts for friends and loved ones rather than buying them ~ I realize how quickly time is running out! Is it time to chuck the idea of knitting that new sweater for my sister and make her a scarf instead? Should I finish the several “half started” projects I have laying all over my house, or just go shopping?
Maybe I can find a happy medium…maybe I’ll finish those easy or close-to-finished projects and buy gifts for everyone else. If you’re facing the same conundrum (it can’t just be me….can it?), shopping online during the holidays is often the most convenient way to go. The only drawback is that sometimes the shipping cost makes it easier to just go out and find a store that carries what you want, but there are many online retailers – VinoVinti included – that offer free shipping during the holiday shopping season.
So relax, have that glass of wine, peruse the web and shop your hearts out…we’re here for you.
