DOES VINOVINTI IMPROVE ALL WINES?
In comparison tastings, consumers overwhelmingly prefer wine that has been smoothed and improved with VinoVinti.
Before using VinoVinti, pour 1–2 ounces of wine from the bottle and taste it. If you want to enhance the wine’s aromas, flavor or finish, use VinoVinti.
VinoVinti was designed for use with red and white still wines. It should not be used on sparkling or fortified wines.
HOW LONG DO I OPERATE THE VACUUM PUMP ON A BOTTLE OF WINE?
Operate the vacuum pump until you see bubbles forming (usually 4-5 pumps) then stop. Let the wine sit for 20-30 seconds then release the vacuum by pulling the nub on the stopper. Taste your wine.
Most wines will be ready to enjoy. You can repeat the process if needed, but remember that it is possible to remove too much CO2 leaving the wine tasting flat.
See Instructions page for detailed instructions and video.
I HAVE OPERATED THE PUMP BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING?
You must create a vacuum in the wine bottle for the VinoVinti to work. Check to make sure you have a good seal with the bottle, stopper and pump. Some people have difficulty maintaining a seal because they tilt the pump to one side while operating. It important to hold the pump in a vertical position.
WHAT IF I CAN’T SEE ANY BUBBLES?
If you are operating the vacuum pump correctly, you will easily see the CO2 bubbles rising in white wines. It is more difficult to see the CO2 bubbles releasing in red wines. Watch closely at the surface of the wine.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF THE ROD AND HOLDER DISCONNECT FROM THE STOPPER WHILE IN THE BOTTLE?
You can still use the VinoVinti with the rod and holder disconnected. Operate the pump normally. Pour the wine carefully so the rod does not fall out of the bottle into the glass. When all the wine is poured, remove the rod and holder, then rinse as usual.
WHAT ARE THE ROD AND HOLDER MADE OF?
The rod and holder are made of FDA compliant, inert, food-safe ceramic and elastomeric polymer.
RED WINE HAS TINTED THE ROD. IS THIS A PROBLEM?
This is completely normal and will not affect the performance of your VinoVinti. You can continue to use it on red or white wines.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY VINOVINTI?
VinoVinti is designed for a lifetime of use with proper care.
It is important to rinse the ceramic rod and holder thoroughly after using. The ceramic rod must be clean and completely dry before storing.
VinoVinti’s rod and holder are dishwasher safe, however we recommend simply rinsing them in hot water. The vacuum pump and stopper may be hand-washed with warm soapy water.
